This work reconstructs the unrealized “Dragon” Fuwa mascot from the 2008 Beijing Olympics to explore the evolution of cultural symbols and their sociopolitical implications. By merging archival footage, performance, and installation, the project reintroduces the dragon into Olympic iconography, reflecting on its exclusion and broader shifts in national identity, globalization, and ideological change.

Through a hybrid narrative blending reality and fiction, the work invites viewers to reconsider historical memory, collective nostalgia, and the transformation of symbolic power in contemporary China.
